Ezeego gave me the refunds and processed the cancellations and provided me the refunds required after I wrote this review.
So, please only read this review to understand what ezeego1 was at one time (about 1 year back).
So, heres what I have to say...I dont think Im the only one who thinks so poorly about Ezeego1.com
The problems that I see
*1) Complex Business Processes**:
Try cancelling a ticket that youve booked through ezeego1.co.in
The instructions are nowhere mentioned on the terms and conditions or any other prominent place.
Try the next logical thing...try to contact their customer care, but read point (3) of this review first before doing so.Now, lets say you are a bit of an explorer and you find that booked ticket history after logging in to their site. Here you can see a link for request cancellation. Clicked that..?.now you are doomed, because requesting cancellation is just the latter half of their cancellation process, and if youve saved the cancellation request, theres no way you can make any changes. So kiss your refund goodbye for now.
You need to know the first half of the cancellation process and the link to that is so well hidden, youd think the creator of the webpage should get into designing Indian army camouflages.
Well, after a lot of trouble I was able to find this link between the fortune and ICICI Bank ads. On clicking this, you will discover that you first need to contact the airline directly and cancel the ticket with them. Then, you need to request cancellation through their website by putting in the cancellation reference number in the remarks column of the cancellation request form. - Hey why are they calling it comments, why not cancellation reference number from the airline or something like that, if thats what its meant to hold.
*2) Incorrect Refunds on cash back offers
*I hold an ICICI Bank Visa Platinum card and was lured to this site where I was hoping to get a 50% discount on the base fare. Ive purchased tickets with a base fare totalling to Rs. 24046 and have got refunds of Rs 7425.5 instead of the Rs 12023 that I was expecting, and yes I know that base fare is less than the total fare - this amount Ive quoted above is the base fare of all the tickets that Ive booked during the offer period. When I discovered this on looking at my credit card statement for the first time, I tried calling them, unfortunately, it was past 6PM so their customer service was not available then. So, I sent emails to complaints@ezeego1.com , enquiry@ezeego1.com expecting that either the problem would be resolved or that someone would reply to the email with an explaination. This was not to happen, so a few days later, I tried calling them...read on
*3) Unresponsive customer care
*Youre lucky if you have a BSNL phone at your disposal or if you are a Mumbai-ite. I am not so lucky. I stay in Bangalore and have Tata Indicom and Airtel phones, so I cant dial toll free to their customer service helpline.
I tried dialing their GSM number 09867565900. After waiting for an infinitely long time and feeling very irritated, finally a customer service rep was available. I realized on reading the reviews on mouthshut that I am one of the lucky few who has been able to speak to someone at ezeego1.
Well, I explained the situation to the customer care executive at the other end, and he immediately understood...either he was too intelligent to be working with a firm such as ezeego1 or many others before me had explained the same situation to him. He took down all the details, said that hed forward it to the finance department who would credit the amount in the next 7 working days.
Fine I said and waited for 7....10...17 days, and then tried reaching them again on email, phone but have got no response. I even sent an email to thomasct@ezeego1.com whos supposedly
Im now contemplating sending them a fax, followed by a letter by registered post, and if eventually nothing happens, taking them to a consumers court for their fraud(at this stage, Id like to call it fraud, because theyve crossed the limits of unresponsiveness).
My recommendation to all would be...dont go to ezeego1 if you expect any level of customer service (including change / cancellation of trips etc.)
