Worst service and behaviour-Ezone Hebbal

I am writing this review after a disgusting experience with Ezone Hebbal, Bengaluru. Eventhough I have bought many items from this perticular store before and had no issues at all, however the true colors come out only when the testing times come.


I bought a Nokia N85 mobile from this store on 8th Feb 2009, within 5 days I found that the mobile had many manufacturing defects


The Transceiver was faulty. The callers on my phone used to complain about my voice being very fady and it was difficult for me as well to her their voice about 90%of the time, the voice amplitude used to go up and down intermittently. The FM transmitter was not working at all. The system used to crash often even when I had not installed any new apps.


I went to Ezone with these complaints and was told that they cannot replace the phone as its more than 2 days, and asked me to contact customer care instead!! I did not press hard on the matter as I thought being a reputed company Nokia would handle the matter professionally and replace my phone. This was the biggest blunder from my side.


After repeated repairs of the phone (6times) Nokia accepted to replace it after about 45 days (15th April). However when I went to collect the phone I was disgusted to see that its an used phone with scrathces!!! They were replacing my new phone with old used phone!! Nokia’s nautanki continued for another month with repeated turnarounds about replacing the scratched phone.


With no other option left than to go to the consumer court, I thought as a last try I would go to Ezone and see if they can take this up with Nokia, however it was no to be. Today (1st May 2009), I went to the Ezone and spoke to one of the manager by name Sunesh, I don’t know the qualification of this guy but he is not fit for the Job he is doing there. I have no personal grudge with this guy but his comments disgusted me! Initially he seemed to be supportive and said he will call up Nokia tomorrow and get back to me, however he was not commiting on timeline to resolve my problem. It was clear to me that this guy is just planimng to keep postponing and I cannot get any help here. Once I kept pressing hard on the commitment from him and said if "I do not get any answer within 2 days I am going to the consumer court against Nokia, and Ezone cannot wash off its hand once the item is sold. I go there to buy quality products and if their supplier (Nokia in this case) supplies a faulty material they they are also liable to get me the replacement".To this Sunesh’s reply was "Ezone is not a service organization and is just trying to help you!!". Rediculous, Ezone just seems to wash off its hands once the item is sold and instead of doing service to their customers they are just helping them!! Its like they are doing some social service and nothing goes in their pocket if a customer buys something from their shop!!


*I would definitely go to the consumer court against Ezone and Nokia and teach these guys a lesson "Customer is King"..


Please share if anyone else has a similar experience. From my side a big ZERO to these guys.
