I went to buy blackberry storm from E-zone hebbal (esteem mall) on 26th Feb evening. I have never had such a bad sales experience even in smaller shops:
a) Biggest grouse: Salesperson told me that my storm 9530 does not have any onboard memory and will not work unless I buy a 4 GB memory card with it. Complete lie, as I found out later : It has 1 GB in -built memory. In fact, I told him storm should have 1 GB memory and he said no it’s only with 9500 model. I have never seen a salesperson in a big(or small) store lie to get business.
b) Somehow, he was determined to push curve 8900 - a great model, no doubt - however, his push was hilarious. He told us how curve is great - forgot to add the information on missing 3G.
c) When we decided to pick storm - way he was trying to dissuade was almost like "donot buy" - a) It will break, if you drop it; b) It does not have wi-fi (repeated at least 10 times).
Overall, Price was slightly lesser than Croma (however, croma had scratch cards going on). Salesperson knowledge in both stores were pathetic - however, Croma Sales person was forthright when he did not know. E-zone salesman lied. I will not recommend E-zone for any but most advanced buyer - who has done all research on his own and just has to pick the stuff up. IF you hope to depend on salesman to help you make a good decision - you are in for a big time ride.
