E-zone is a Future/Pantaloon company - so one automatically assumes a reasonably good experience - and so did I! I fell for the companys reputation, large stores, great discounts etc...and had unimaginably, disappointing experience!
Day 1: My family shortlisted a refrigerator from the E-zone Koramangala store and ordered for a specific color (that was on display) and paid up 100% advance on the purchase date at a 10% discount that the store offered. The store promised us delivery within 5 days, that particular colour not being available at their warehouse.
Day 5: We got a call from E-zone asking us to wait for another day . (We thought that is fine. We even thought so responsive, great service!!)
Day 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 - Nothing!!
Day 11: We call E-zone: Customer service says well get back to you by end of day. End of day: We call them again...were told "dont worry, well deliver ur Washing Machine (?!!) in a day"!! We clarified.
Day 12-15: Lot of calls and serious conversations...lot of "sorries, and please wait for one more day-s"
Day 16: Alas! Our fridge was delivered....but it was a different one! We call Ezone to take it back...were told "SORRY, PLEASE START USING THE FRIDGE(!!), well send the correct one in a day or 2". We put our foot down and insisted that the delivery person takes the fridge back immediately.
Day 20: We call them again...they ask us to pick another fridge cause theyre not able to deliver the one we ordered!!
Day 21: We visit the store and ask for a refund (including the discount) cause discount season at all electronic stores was over and wed have to pay extra for the same fridge now - even at Ezone! First, the store insisted that they give us a credit note...and after a lot of screaming offered a free gift (ugly glass bowls!) This pissed me off even more. We returned with a cash refund. We would have to shell out more to buy the same fridge now...imagine!
To sum up - Please take an informed decision about Ezone. One doesnt expect a bad experience...but you might just have your first one with Ezone. It is really unbelievable how a store can first deliver a wrong good and then ask us to start using it with the hope of it being replaced later. Pathetic business ethic! I want to save you from going through what I did.
