I bought F & D E200 Sound Bar around three years ago, back when I was in college. It was then, the best in speakers in the same price range and has been my faithful companion ever since. Apart from a little distortion in the sound ( only when you turn up the volume knob to the full) that has crept up, the sound bar still packs a punch.
The sound output is 2.1 channel one for a 2.0 speaker like this, and you do not need separate speaker units for that. Isnt that just great? The output power is 3W in total ( 1.5×2) but that should not deter you as the sound is richly detailed, deep and fills the room.
It is a user friendly speaker. Its lightweight, convenient to carry, easy to tuck in in a suitcase or travel bag, can be charged through your laptop/PC or externally through a USB power adapter, the two cables ( one for charging and one for 3.5 mm audio jack) are sufficiently long ( about 1 metre long) .
The speaker is best for listening to music genres like pop, soft rock, hard rock, metal, electronic dance music- deep house, electro house, tropical house etc. and if youre into any music that has got a good bass as the speaker has a powerful bass enhancer.
Grunge tracks do not sound too well on it, and sound distortion slithers in at higher volumes. The speaker gives a well dispersed, crisp and surround sound. It is well suited, almost perfect for a single room, not for outdoors or big halls. Its not for people who just like some loud music banging out of their speakers; its for people who understand their preferred music choices.
Its got a sturdy, good build and a metallic mesh protects the dual speakers encased behind it. It has fallen quite a number of times from my table and bed, and did not get damaged at all ( apart from some minor scratches, of course) .
So its a highly reliable and value-for-money product ( I got it for Rs. 760 only! ) .
