This is the second Faber chimney I have bought and continue to face the same problems as the earlier one. The product quality is really bad and it doe snot work most of the time. You have to necessarily go for service contract if you do not want to pay the price of the chimney in repairs within 2 years. Even after the service contract, there is no guarantee that you will get the service.
It seems Faber operates through a Franchise service network who are only interested in fleecing you and not interested in providing service. They even lie blatantly as it became evident to me recently. The service centre logged a visit without actual visiting our house and is waiting for the charcoal filter (which is not available due to shifting of the Pune office!). The technician has never visited my house and I am not sure how he can already guess that the charcoal filter needs replacement? Seems like pre-meditated fleecing to me.
I know I made the mistake of buying this brand a second time despite bad experiences the first time around because I was told that the company has improved its product quality and service. However, nothing has changes. Please avoid this brand if you love your money.
