On 23.10 we ordered a piece of furniture from Fabindia, indiranagar store in Bangalore and made the payment in full. We were told that the bill would be delivered along with the furniture.
1 week later the furniture was delivered WITHOUT the bill. I called up the store immediately, and was told that it would be couriered to me the very next day
Since then its been 3 weeks, and the bill has still not reached me. Ive spoken to fabindia folks half a dozen times. Each time Im promised that the bill will reach me for sure, or its been dispatched by courier, or someone will call me back with more info. Predictably none of these have happened.
Im told that they have dispatched the bill not once, but twice by courier. The delivery doesnt reach me, the courier guys dont call up, theres no accountability, the store doesnt know or care if the bill reaches. All other couriers, speedpost, registered letters quite happily reach my address, but no, not this special courier. Guess the courier guys just eat the bill as a tasty snack. Talk about lying through their teeth.
Yesterday I called up and spoke to one of their fellow, Sarvanan. He assured me that he would follow up and would call me back for sure the next day.
Of course noone called up. I called the store a while ago and was told in a flash that the fellow is on leave coz he had a death in the family. How convenient.
I spoke to one of the fancier salespersons, Vipra and gave her a piece of my mind. Shes promised to have the bill delivered to me yet again by courier.
Anyway, if this time the bill doesnt reach, I will personally go back to the store and shout at them in front of all their customer on a Sat evening. Ive also send feedback to Fabindia on their website. Last step of course is a complaint to the district consumer forum.
