I had been to Fabindia in Whitefield - Bangalore to purchase a gift article. I made it very clear to the sales staff that I wished to pick a gift article. When I narrowed down to a lamp shade, he billed it and after billing informed that there is no packing available and this piece won’t fit in any bag they have in their store.
I politely asked him that why didn’t he inform me about this when I was picking the item or before billing. He very rudely replied that I should have asked him. So next time you are in FABINDIA ASK IF THEY HAVE THE APPROPRIATE PACKING OR BAGS TO CARRY THE ITEMS HOME.
Supposedly, they get the items but don’t get any provisions to provide packaging. Strangely, I have bought much bigger lampshades from the Indiranagar - Bangalore outlet and they do make sure you have the right packing and convenient mode to carry the article home.
Now comes the best part, when I was at my wits end and confronted the sales person for his attitude, he started telling me that I was the one not talking properly to him. Then another sales lady came up to say that she is extremely sorry but asked if I don’t have a car to carry the gift article.
So PLEASE DON’T SHOP IN FABINDIA IF YOU ARE NOT TRAVELLING IN YOUR CAR. They expect you to have a car and travel in it to their shop. Isn’t it amazing!
I think these people should dictate their rules before we even enter their shop. Horrible experience and I am going to make sure all of my friends and colleagues know about this and never ever enter this shop again.
Serious management attention required in this shop.
