I read this book a few days back. Written by Brandon Mull this book is the first part in the five book series. Set in modern day, this book focuses on the beasts of the ancient world(fairies, nymphs etc.) on the magical and hidden preserve Fablehaven.
The main protagonists are a brother-sister duo namely Seth and Kendra, the grandchildren of the preserve’s caretakers. This book focuses on how the youngsters "accidentally" discovers Fablehaven when on vacation with their grandparents and how it is on the verge of collapse by an ancient evil demon(trapped before the foundations of the preserve were laid down more than 300 years back) named Bahumat being released from its captivity.
The plot is pretty straightforward without many twists but very juicy and exciting content keeping the readers hooked.
Containing many anatgonists, Fablehaven is an adrenaline and action packed book for youngsters and old alike. I would recommend this book to people of all the age groups.
