First of all , let me tell you that the only reason I have facebook messenger app on my phone is because my facebook wouldnt let me read my messages otherwise.
For people like me who use facebook very infrequently , using another app ( which consumes a lot of battery and space) just to read and send messages seems quite un-necessary.
While it privides a good interface for chatting with people , the app often crashes . The option to set it as the default messaging app is kind of cool though.
The group video call is a very cool feature and the new option of stories is also attractive. The option of different color schemes seems attractive to the younger lot too.
The best feature remains the floating chatting icon.
While it provides an above average chatting experience , the frequent crashes and the battery drainage and the fact that Facebook has made the use mandatory are definite obvious negative remarks.
