Facebook being a social networking site is nearly found in every mobile phone today but is this app worth using, is there any better option to this app?
Drawbacks:
1- I had been using this app from a long time now but to my disappointment, it requires a lot of storage space on the phone as it requires a lot of background data.
2- Moreover, it also requires a lot of storage space for the cookies it stores and the cache files it produces.
3- In case of data requirement, it uses a lot of mobile internet data as it requires to load hd videos and images.
4- It will not work properly as the app will be very slow when your data connection is not good.
5- In India, there are a number of regions where the data connection is weak and hence using this app at such places is not a good idea.
6- Also, there is another problem with the app that it requires an update every few days sometimes even in a week of previous update which again increased your data usage.
7- Facebook has very well taken care of commercialization of the app but keeping on stake the interests of the users.
Alternatives:
1- Firstly, in order to use this app, you need a high speed internet connection.
2- There must a memory card with a greater storage space in your mobile phone.
3- In the settings menu of your phone, you will find an option for Applications, where you can check for your facebook app and clear the excess data and cache produced by the app by using the options Clear data and Clear Cache.
4- The problem with clearing up the data of facebook is it needs to be done on a regular basis.
5- Also, when you clear data, you need to be careful that you will loose some important image and video files, which must be restored before clearing the data.
6- Another alternative is you use facebook lite version of this app, which can remove the drawbacks of Facebook app, such as requirement of large storage space, greater data usage, etc.
7- The third alternative can be using facebook by logging in into facebook from browsers like UC browser, Chrome, etc which require less internet data.
So, overall facebook app needs to be improved on the grounds of storage space, data usage, number of app updates, etc.
