Bring me to life, Going Under or My Immortal?

Though a feminine voice isn’t a new thing in the rock’n’roll world, Evanescence is different. Amy Lee, the singer and leader, doesn’t have that grave voice, she doesn’t search to be like a man ( for the voice ), like some girls do.

Her voice is feminine, soft and very high. That’s going very well with the guitar electric. And she doesn’t make only rock.

Listen to My Immortal, the new single, where is one only instrument: piano ( althought at the end, guitars and drums are playing, renforcing the song ).

Some special effect are present: voices from the other world, like a chorus in a church... ( Whisper and Imaginary )

The rest of the album is well-pensed: Going Under is great, Bring Me to Life too. That song is a duet, also on the Daredevil OST. The beginning is soft with piano before changing in a real explosion of guitar electric. And the lyrics are really great: a real dialog between Amy and Paul, for a dialog ( sic ) between a man and a woman, in love with each other, but they missed each other ( sounds like JAG...Oups :) )

What else? Well, that’s a new breathe for the genre, with a natural voice, very high. I have to mention the cover: a little dark comic on the bords.

Yes, I forgot, there is an hidden track!
