A truly 'False Impression'

’False Impression’ by Jeffrey Archer are among the few books that live up to their title. The author of coming-of-age novels like ’Kane and Abel’, he decided to stick this time to a story that was supposed to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller.

Jeffrey Archer is known for his rich writing texture which inevitable is totally invisible in this novel considering the fact that the story-line is very poor and contrived.Archer is better known for his parallel stories that range a huge time frame and when asked to handle stories that take place in a time span of 10 days, its not a surprise that he was unable to handle it.

Though the story is projected to be a thriller on the lines of the 9/11 incident, these publicity prove trivial and unnecessary for this novel. Except for the first few pages(probably due to the initial excitement!!!) there was not a single instance when, I wanted to turn to the page.

COMMENTS

Definitely one of Archer’s poor efforts.
