This is a Daily Reality Drama, which tells the story of 12 talented singers who have given everything they have to enter the coveted music academy – FAME GURUKUL and their journey to becoming the nation’s biggest singing sensations.
After being tested on various parameters through auditions held across Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Indore, only fourteen will be given the dream chance of training at the academy under a team of top notch no-nonsense experts from the industry in music and dance. Only twelve out of fourteen singers will enter the academy through Jury selection and public voting. The judges panel includes Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan, K.K.The Faculty includes Ila Arun, Prasant A Samadhar, Padma Wadkar.They are being trained under Mickey Mehta, Bosco and Ceasar.
The Contestants left now are-
1)Arpita Mukherjee-23 years old (Place - Mumbai)
She’s stylish, and has a charming personality.Her elder sister is a gold medalist with a master’s degree in classical music.
According to me, she got a bit rude when she confessed she didn’t want Qazi in the Gurukul.Even if Qazi doesn’t know the A-Z of singing, atleast he has the guts to speak out his true feelings in front of the camera.
2)Rooprekha Bannerjee-21 years (Place - Kolkata)
Rooprekha has been pursuing a degree in BSc but has always been clear from the start that she wants to be a playback singer.While she can sing all kinds of songs her favourite are romantic numbers.
3)Rex D’souza-24 years (Place - Mumbai)
He is here for the love of performing, he enjoys being on stage and it’s not his style to be nervous. He is out to win hearts as his favourite numbers are all romantic and he believes that a smile can conquer every mountain.
According to me, he has the potential to be a part of the Fame Jodi as he has the Singing-Factor along with the X-Factor.And, whenever he performs on stage, he shows he’s enjoying it thoroughly, thus, taking you in a different world with his style.

4)Qazi Touqeer-19 years (Place - Srinagar)
The best is kept for the end.Well, he is the one who has been voted in and out of Fame Gurukul 9 times(or is it more?).He is completely different and unique from all of the other contestants which is why you can like him or hate him, but cannot ignore him. Apart from his way of talking, his face(and hair) scream at you-’I’m unique!’.
