Lots of Practical Information

Family Circle is one of those magazines that few people get by subscription but many pick up in the supermarket.

It typically includes some seasonal articles-gardening, holiday decorating etc. as well as several sections of recipes and crafts. Recipes are organized into either whole meal suggestions or a grouping of one type (cookies, barbeque items etc). There is usually also some kind of self improvement or health article (a diet, a fitness routine, spring clothing ). The advertising is mainly by family oriented products and services.

This is a good basic magazine for those interested in cooking, decorating and family activities. It’s not Martha Stewart-the suggestions are far more user friendly. All of the suggested crafts and recipes are very doable and are made with easily obtainable materials.

It’s worth the $1.25 supermarket price and once you’re done with it-there are plenty of color pictures of food, babies and people for the little ones to use to make collages or little books.
