I do hear a lot of negative reviews for this film, but somehow even after a week I would like to stick to my earlier views that this movies was good, agreed it was not a movie which would leave a lasting impression on your minds, but it does have enough material for you to atleast enjoy it once. The movie will keep you glued to the seat and will keep you guessing on what would be next sequence.
Must credit Ramkumar Santoshi for at least trying to write a script which is a little difficult to predict.
The movie is about Family and the relations that make up a family, It is about a conflict that arises when ones family is disturbed. You may find the movie moving between too many things during the early half, but the mess is managed towards the end.
Indeed movie has a solid storyline , it is just that while attempting to make a recipe for a masala movie the theme seems lost in the early half. There is a point in time where movie moves very fast to get back to the track and this is someplace where director could have used his vast experience better.
This is not a todays type of movie full of double meaning dailogues or like other similar movies where an extreme vulgar language was used to depict the underworld. This movie is class in this terms. But the viewer has to appreciate these finer points.
The location of the movie may not be that exotic, so viewers dont expect any virtual country tours like most of Yashraj films.
Amitabhji has repeated his performance in Agneepath.I sincerely feel that movie could have done wonders with a better actor in place of Aryaman.
As far as acting is concerned Amitabhji is fantastic as usual, it will remind you of his agneepath days, Akshay acted pretty well, Bhumika hardly has a role to play , but I am glad that there was no skin flick by her, she does portray an image of powerful lady, I wish she had more role to play.
Kadar khan, Gulshan grover & Raza Murad have extremely small roles .. there presence can hardly be felt,
Early part of movie had good amount of humor, I am sure it will be able to tickle everyone’s funny bone
Role of Akshays brother played by debutant Aryaman was pathetic, performance was mediocre and dialogue delivery was pathetic, it seems there is some serious issues with his voice. I guess being producers son maximum footage was been given to him, which is what the public may have not liked.
I am sure people who go to watch Big B and his performance will return back happy, overall movie is indeed a good attempt I wish Rajkumar Santoshi all the very best.
Overall if you can corelate with the theme of movie I am sure that you will enjoy the movie.
My recommendation is do watch FAMILY with your family
