I love its flavor and smoothness

Famous Grouse is one of the most popular Blended Scotch Whiskeys in the world. This blend has a long history and seen difficult time but it is famous since its inception in 1897 in Perth. It took long time to become one of the world’s favorite. Famous Grouse named after the famous Red Grouse, national bird of Scotland. As of today Famous Grouse is one of the highest selling Blended Scotch Whiskeys and is widely available in most part of the world. In Scotland it is highest selling blended whiskey may be mainly due to its price. Cost is like that of Red Level but many scotch lovers will place it in second position. Frankly, I love its flavor and smoothness. I like it more than few well-known brands because of its mild aroma and texture. For more information – http// https://scotchwhiskey.com Personal Experience- Normally I prefer to buy my favorite imported blended scotch whiskey from duty free shop in Mumbai airport because it is cheaper and I need not carry it and take care of it through out the journey. In duty free shops of Sahar International Airport cost is $14 for one liter bottle. In Changi (Singapore) cost is around S$ 25. It is blend of some selected famous scotch from Scotland and bottled at Highland Distilleries of Matthew Gloag & Son Ltd. It is blend of malt & grain whiskeys. It has distinct flavor and right one to consume on the rocks. It is also a no hangover drink. I have drank several liters of it in more than 100 occasions but never suffered from hangover. Take 30 ml in whiskey tumbler on the rocks. Sip slowly and enjoy the aroma and smoothness. Love melody – go for Bryan Adam. That is how I like to relish my favorite whiskey. Alcohol content in Famous Grouse is 43% so two ice cubes give me the right test. I hate to add club soda or anything else in Famous Grouse because I like to test the smoothness and aroma. I prefer not to have salty and specie snack when relishing a good wine or whiskey; test buds are fully dedicated to drink. So, my favorite bites are sausages, backed fish or cheese. Producer called it as “Finest Scotch whiskey”. Let me not start a debate on this statement and call it as one of my favorite blended whiskeys. Surly it is not a bad drink – true value for my hard earn money. Caution- Well friends, as usual some suggestions - like to give you some advice because I have more gray hairs than many of you. LOL but take it seriously. 1. Famous Grouse may turn you Infamous if you drink beyond limit, Even a costliest whiskey may create annoyance if someone is not within the limit. Be decent with everyone. 2. No driving after couple of pegs of Famous Grouse. Sometime I do not follow this rule but in case of long drinking session like New Year party, I keep a standby driver. 3. Take enough food before the drinking gathering where you may drink in excess. Take fresh tomato juice in case of long drinking session. Tomato helps you to get rid of hangover (new found therapy). 4. Don’t contaminant Famous Grouse with some fluid that does not add value to it 5. Do not drink Famous Grouse to impress someone. You know what I mean – think seriously. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Conclusion- There is hundreds of blended scotch in the market but some are famous for their distinct characteristics. FG is one such blend liked by many in the world but miles to go to establish itself in the market like red level. In India, many are unaware of this blend. I love its flavor and smoothness however; you have not missed much if you have not tested it so far. There are many other attractions in the world to enjoy life. Take Care to Enjoy Life
