This is the first exclusive review of Funaaa
i watched this film yesterday in a preview theatre at mumbai with my girlfriend Zubeidaa.
I was literally crying when the film finished, its a mature emotional issak story.
The plus point in the film is its originality in story.
Story
Amir khan is a tour guide and a big time flirt (he plays himself in the film).
Kajal is the daughter of Kashmir Chief Minister and is blind.
She is dear to her father and goes to outstation with her friends and meets amir khan and falls in love with him. But amir khan want to rise in love.
Amir Khan does not now she is chief minister’s daughter and both are happy with their relationship. But Amir khan is a bloody terrorist and he has been assigned the job of killing kajal.
Amir now has to choose between jehadi and kajal.
Later Amir watches sunny deol punjab da puttar’s film and realises India is his country all Indians are his brothers and sisters. Therefore he goes to the terrorist camp and kills all the terrorist but he could not kill all and gets himself killed.
As his last wishes his eyes are donated to kajal and hence funaa qualifies to be a sensational mature love story.
Before the death he sings tere pyaar mein meri jaan funaaa ho jayee..
kajal is happy that she got eyes but gets sad seeing amir death, and comits suicide and lives happily with amir in hell.
I request everyone to watch funaa its a mature love story from yash raj films, who produces different and intellectual films like veer zaraa, nil n nikki, hum tum and bunty babli.
i am still crying thinking about the film, I am also crying thinking about veer zaraa, it should have been sent to oscars, even speilberg, cameron would have cried watching that film.
