A blind kashmiri girl Zooni wanted to explore her life. She came with her friends to Delhi and fall in love with a local tour guide Rehan. Zooni’s father always told her “choosing between right and wrong is always simple, but decision between the greater of two good or lesser of two evil is what describes your life.” Zooni didn’t remember her father’s words . She was misled by Rehan’s exuberant character. She chose the wrong step and her life was destroyed.
Fanaa is compilation of mediocre Bollywood love story like DDLG..... Kohona Payar Hai...... and terrorism based action movie like Fiza.......Mission Kashmir.......
The opening part is a monotonous love story, ornamented with some palpable ’sher-o-shayari’. Suddenly Fanaa has changed the direction. After the twist of terrorist attack, based on Delhi bomb blast, Rehan come out with his another image. He is one of the villain not victim( as is pretend by Zooni and others in the film).after one or two shots it has cleared to us about the darker part of Rehan’s life.
Another twist came in the film, when Rehan was too close to his mission and unfortunately he met with Zooni and their son. After came out from some certain dilemma, Rehan decided to live with his family. In the end Zooni wasn’t misled with her emotion. She refused to compromise with her personal feelings and took right step for her country. As a terrorist, Rehan had to accept death, because no terrorist could be alive in Hindi movie. But the new thing was that Rehan was sentenced to death by his beloved.
In fanaa Aamir has played dual role in a single character with his magnificent talent. Kajol has done well too. But they both have gained over weight. They are completely mismatch with their role in the first part of the movie. Music, photography and all other things are marginally well but not distinguishable. Over all Fanaa convey a patriotic message with a new graphical way.
The story has the beauty in its name ’FANAA’. It means destroy in love. Director Kunal Kohli has illustrated devastating part of love with these remarkable phrase
