Fariya’s at Lonavala is one of the first resorts you see as you come up the ghats by road. Its imposing building on top of the hill instantly draws your eyes towards it. Staying there is a great experience.
From the large centrally AC rooms with all amenities incl TV, Fridge and a bathtub, to the well designed lobby and restaurants. They all combine to make sure your stay here will be a pleasant one. There are 2 restaurants incl a coffee shop just off the lobby. There’s an indoor swimming pool with shallow area for the kids. Also an amusement parlor with arcade games and coin operated rides. The piece de resistance is definitely the water park with slides and a waterfall along with a sunken bar. You could spend the entire day just lounging around this pool. They also have a fully equipped gym and garden areas with slides and swings. Besides there is a Discotheque which unfortunately was closed when I was there.
The food is also good with a large variety of dishes in the buffet. Also room service is prompt at any time of the day or night.
The entire ambience is designed to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. The staff too is attentive and housekeeping also responded immediately when I had a slight problem with the TV. All in all a weekend spent here is sure to leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready for the daily grind again.
The rates are on the higher side with costs approx Rs.10, 000/= for three nights two day weekend for two, which includes buffet breakfasts and dinners. A child under 12 is included free.
