We had been to Fariyas Resort, Lonavala for the Republic Day weekend.The lobby was a beehive of activity the day we reached on 25th with a horde of Mumbaikars having landed there.
The check in was smooth and we went for a walk around the hotel premises after checking in to the room.We decided to go to the Fusion for a taste of the chandni chowk paratha festival. The place was fairly empty and we were under the impression that we could have a leisurely meal.
The parathas were truly heavenly and we ordered another round of parathas. By the time the crowd had started pouring in and the kitchen just could not manage the orders. So, there was all round annoyance and bad tempers.
We were wondering how dinner is going to be managed at this rate. But, the dinner in the lawns was very well managed and one hardly felt the crowd. Maybe there were a lot of outsiders for lunch and the crowd became unmanageable. There was a ghazal program in the lawns which was good and overall the dinner was enjoyable. We had a good time at the wild waters and the indoor pool. The spa service was excellent and came as a part of our package.
The staff was courteous and the standard of service was above par. We got a good deal for the stay and got a free stay for another night to be availed later.We look forward to going there again and again.
