Fashion world may be unknown waters for many but it was good to see a glimpse of the fashion world from inside.
I usually prefer watching movies in weekdays to avoid the rush during weekends. But today it was an exception due to Diwali last week. I was amazed when I tried booking the ticket online from bookmyshow as most in most of the theaters of the all shows were sold out. After much try with different timings was lucky to get the 7.45 show in Wave. Its great to see that a movie released on Wednesday just after Diwali is still able to sustain a houseful crowd. The crowd consisted of all age groups another welcome sight to see even after a "Adults only".
This movie is out almost for week now and lot much is already know about the story so I would not write the story here and bore you guys but would really like to share my point of view about this movie. In a Nutshell You could say that this is a movie that tries to portray the difficulties faced by a small town girl aspiring to become a Supermodel. The movie sails away well in the first half and we can feel a bit of dragging towards the end but it was not that noticeable.
The show stealer according to me was Kangna and Mugdha Godse who rocked throughout the movie. Role of Arbaaz khan was good but I feel that it could have been well utilzed in the plot. I somehow felt that it was very short. Kitu Gidwani was perfect for the part she played. There were many others who did their job well in this movie. Madhur has also been successful in this movie in carefully conceiling a whole lot of fashion icons in real life. I would not like to take their names but if you watch the movie you could surely relate many of the characters in the movie to real life persons.
The movie shows one thing that is There is always a success graph but one should also remember that once you are on the epitome you would also come down sometime. So never let success succeed you.
I was told that this movie had a superb climax but I would like to differ a bit. The climax could have been some thing different. What I felt when Priyanka was being asked whether she would become the show stopper was that Priyanka would be very generous and offer this to the struggling Kangna who was trying to come out of the shock and drug rehab. This would have also shown that Priyanka once a arrogant supermodel has learnt from her mistakes. Also this would have been her way of showing gratitude to Kangna from whom she stole the fame initially.
To me amidst all its hype its not as good as "Corporate" or Page 3 movies which I could related it to.
