This is not a complaint

Let me begin by saying that this is not a complaint regarding fashionandyou. I have ordered more than a dozen items from them and have never faced any real problems so far.


My issue with the website was the time period stipulated from selecting a product to completion of billing before the cart expired. This used to be 15 min and now I understand that they have increased it to 30.


The problem arose especially when they had one of those clearance sales and there would be 100’s of products to choose from. Lets be honest, its not possible for anyone to go through 100’s of products , select sizes and complete the entire billing process in under 15min.


The even sillier part was that even if you were in the process of billing with a credit card and midway if the 15min expired then the whole transaction would get nullified.


After being abruptly halted a couple of times mid transaction I decided to write a strong worded letter to the concerned people at fashionandyou. I received a mail directing me towards the terms & conditions of the website. Again I wrote a letter and again they send me the same reply.


You honestly dont need a degree from an IIT to notice that something is not right about your process. Sometimes the solution is very simple. It took them a long while to figure out this flaw and I am sure a lot of their customers would have left in the meantime.


The other day I received a call from fashionandyou inquiring about why I dont buy from there anymore. I am assuming that their model of business is not doing very well especially with the 3-4 week time required to deliver.


I once called up their customer service to inquire why a particular product that I had ordered was not delivered even after 4 weeks and he said that they do not consider sat & sun in the 3-4 week time period. I think he was joking.


Its been a long time since I bought anything from fashionandyou. I have since taken my business to myntra & flipkart.
