I was absolutely wowed when I first discovered FnY. But it didnt take me long to discover that beneath its fashionable facade lies pathetic service and complete mismanagement. My litany of woes is as follows. Ive been facing an issue with the delivery of most orders placed on FnY - had to cancel an order for a pair of Carlton shoes + coasters as they never arrived (Order #251187, dated 21/02/2011). I kept calling their helpline and received assurance after assurance until I gave up and asked for the order to be cancelled. Again, on 1st April 2011 I ordered a wall clock (Order #328636) and six weeks later theres no sign of it.
On calling their helpline today, they said the merchant hadnt delivered the product. Call me a sucker, but on 18th April, I purchased an expensive wristwatch worth almost 25k (Order #360874) as part of their luxury lounge that guarantees express delivery within 10 days from date of purchase. Hah. Till today theres no sign of my order arriving. Now this really leaves a bad impression - if you cant abide by timelines you shouldnt advertise them.
And on calling customer care, the executive politely says, the issue will be forwarded to the concerned dept - Im left with no clue as to when the item will arrive and why its taking so long! If FnY cant manage logistics and its vendors arent delivering products on time, thats really not my problem is it? All I know is that FnY has a serious issue with deliveries. I buy from other websites too and I havent faced this problem with any of them. They should take lessons from amazon.com if need be. Being in a service business, they should surely know that it isnt just sales but the after-sales experience that really matters. And it sucks as far as this website is concerned. As the old saying goes, CAVEAT EMPTOR: Buyers Beware of FnY!!!
