I was referred by a friend to fashionandyou.Com and I made my first purchase with them with order no. 1634797 on march 18, 2012 and unfortunately paid by credit card.
My order comprised of 2 aeropostle(brand) t-shirts and 1 ed-hardy(brand) t-shirt.(Atleast I thought that those were genuine and I was actually getting a 60% off, as they advertise.). The delivery time as was committed on the website was 2-3 weeks.
My experience - I received part shipment containing 2 out of 3 t-shirts within a week in good condition, excellent packaging. The 3rd t-shirt was never delivered and I have made atleast 7-8 calls, I kept getting an assurance that it would be delivered(no exaggeration). Today I have been told that they are processing the refund(after 50 days of wait, more than 7 calls)
there are 3 observations that I have made about the website on the basis of my experience with them and I hope to share it with everyone.
- Mostly their products are sourced either from export rejected surplus or from thailand etc; this is evident from the quality of clothes received thus far.
2. The price of all the articles ordered dropped by 20-25 percent within 3-4 days of placing the order. Unfortunate me? maybe, but the fact is that they are very inconsistent with their pricing and one feels like a
3. They can hold my money with them for 50 days, and I would only be safely extrapolating in saying that at any given point in time, they have millions of rupees with them that are from such cases as mine. Deriving interest from this money is a part of their business model. Anyone with basic statistical and finance knowledge would agree.
Guys, there are no free lunches.
They are doing extremely well and I wish them all the best but please guys, take an informed decision as its very easy to get tempted to pull put the wallet and punch in a few buttons to buy an armani shirt at rs.1000 discounted from rs.10000.
Learn from my mistakes.
I would strongly discourage people from buying from fashionandyou.Com on grounds of poor quality, ineffiecient customer support services, fraudulent practices and lack of transparency.
