I booked a cab today from Thiruvanmiyur RTO office to Chennai Central for immediate assistance. Since it is raining outside, I thought to go by Cab.
-Booking Time: 7:56 AM (asked whether they can provide a cab immediately. The answer was Yes)
-Booking Confirmed and received message at 7:57 AM.
-Booking ID: 3973 for 14th Aug.
-Booking allotted immediately to a cab.
-Received a call from Taxi driver by 8:04 AM saying he is in Palavakkam and will pick up me by 08:15. I told him my train is at 9:35 AM.
-He did not turned up by 8:20, called him the answer was, a bit traffic and will reach in 2 minutes.
-Called at 8:25, the same answer.
-Called at 8:35, the same answer but this time he is angry.
-Called at 8:40 to say that I will find an alternative.
-He Reached us at 8:42 when I was moving from Home.
-Boarded the cab and he dropped me at Central only 09:36. By the time I went to the platform the train left.
Few Questions:
If Fast track cannot attend me immediately, why should they take the booking?
If the driver knows that he cant come by time, why should he made me wait?
FYI....Usually the time takes to come from Palavakkam to RTO office is 5-7 minutes. I agree there is a rain with little traffic. But how can it be 40 minutes?
Called on Customer Care for Complaint:
The answer was, Sir we have taken your complaint, but there is no mistake of Fasttrack but the Driver. How can you say it is the mistake of driver, when I called Fasttrack and book the cab? Even if it is mistake of driver, I dont care because I booked cab @Fasttrack.
Adding to it, the customer care people are very rude. This drivers mistake costed me Rs 1500 including my train ticket. Now I understand that they dont understand customers time and the importance of it.
I HATE FASTTRACK and will never book one more time.
