I checked in the Fateh Bagh hotel Ranakpur with my wife and kids 26th Sep 2007 at 5:00 PM. Seemed to be a good hotel. Rooms were good spacious.
At 8:00Pm I went to the restaurant to have dinner. They had only a buffet menu and 70% of it was non veg so I asked the restaurant manager if I could order Alacarte he very bluntly said no, and I would have to eat what ever was on the menu as he was busy s*cking up to Foreign tourist. So I went to the reception and asked the person on the desk what do for my dinner as I dont eat non veg. All he had to say that "you can go to any hotel Near by and have your dinner". This was not the kind of response I was expect from the hotel where I was paying Rs. 7000/- per nite.
Why would I stay in this hotel If I had to eat food outside. I told this at the reception and left to my room to pack. When I was leaving the Hotel the manager said I could order alacarte at the restaurant. I refused and left the hotel. I really dont know where the manager was sleeping for 1/2 hour when all this argument was going on. If the didnt have vegetarian food why didnt they inform me when I checked In. Well as far as I am concerned they were busy s*cking up to foreign tourist for tips and ignoring the Indian tourist.
The hotel is nice but the staff are really pathetic I would definitely advice Indian tourist not to stay in this Hotel.
