I visited Fateh Prakash palace Museum in the year September 2010. Actually, it is not a proper museum. It is rather a emporium sort of with its traditional Rajasthani collections of various items like, antique pieces, wood carved statues, embroidery handloom products and artificial jewelley and model pieces of arts. Not it is government recognized. Hence, quality and materials questions its originality.
Though the museum is quite big with varieties of collections but most of them are from cottage industries with current working style. So, if you are looking for old traditional collections then you have limited choice. In fact, the presentations of items in the museums are not commanding. Moreover, you have other options in the nearby area. Best option is to visit local old bazaar area where you will find more options with reasonable rates and quality.
Visiting this place is not actually worth if you are really in the mood to explore the typical Rajasthani pattern and heritage.
