The building itself is beautiful and has great history. Our entire experience was ruined as we had a tour guide that overcharged us and forced us to buy items from his friend. When I refused he got upset with me but I refused to allow him to dictate to me where I should purchase items from. As we walked in I noticed that there were many people selling the set of sarees, flowers and thread which was required for a prayer. The guide however insisted that we cannot purchase from the hawkers but to support a man claiming to be from the local school that sells the same pack. His price started at 2 100 rupees per set whereas outside it was priced at 100 rupees. We said we dont have that much money on us and refused to pay that price. Be warned that they inflate prices tremendously for all foreigners and the guides are part of his scam to get their portion of the commission. Shoes have to be removed so carry a pair of socks. Overall, this is not a place you have to visit. Avoid if you can.
