Courier picked from my residence in **Indiranagar, Bangalore on 28th Dec, 12 at 11:30am**. The pick up guy provided the Fedex tracking number and receipt and assured of next day delivery to DELHI.
*8:00 pm 29th Dec, 12** – Call from Delhi recipient informs me that the courier has not been delivered.
8:10 pm – Called up the Toll free Customer Care number and was forced to spend 15 mins to explain that the courier was indeed picked up at 11:30am on 28th Dec, 12. When I asked his name and that the call be transferred to his supervisor, the guy says it will take 15-20 mins holding time and transfers the call
8:15pm – I disconnected the call, called up again and following was the interaction:
Romil – Repeated my details, quickly took down my name & contact number and said he will create the complaint. Transferred my call to his supervisor – Rupesh Nair/Nayyar.
8:20pm – **Rupesh Nair/Nayyar** – A complete waste of 30 mins of my time, **did not take responsibility of the delivery of the courier or the business partners FEDEX works with, NO ASSISTANCE or ASSURANCE of a call back or from FEDEX.*
When requested for a call back from his manager on 31st Dec, 12(Monday), (Romil took my name and mobile number), he **FLATLY DECLINED**, stating that HE CAN’T arrange for a call back.He went on to state that “**you SHOULD NOT “ even be calling up on the Toll Free Number**. I should only talk to the courier service that picked up my courier.
When my courier delivery responsibility and call back option was flatly declined by Rupesh, I asked for the **refund of the charges**. His reply – “**Claim the refund from the courier service who took the courier**”………… I was left wondering if I was dealing with Fedex or some local courier boy set up.
1) What I did not understand that is how is the courier service different from FEDEX. I searched for FEDEX courier in my area and contacted them for a pick up.
2) **If I have FEDEX receipt and tracking number, aint FEDEX responsible for the service delivery….?*
If this is the quality of service FEDEX has between cities like Bangalore and Delhi, wonder what happens in smaller cities.
*End result** – Courier was not delivered on time, Customer Care did not offer any solutions instead **ensured that I never use FEDEX again** and money spent down the drain.
