One listen to the second album from the Atomic trio, and its pretty good even though they have new member Jenny Frost joining them, after Kerry left the Kittens. The other members, Liz and Natasha (Tash) make up Britains No.1 selling girlband.
Fifteen tracks, one slightly better than the other in the perfect genre, that is, pop music. Its a mix of ballads, upbeat pop, funky disco and 80s dance. One of the tracks that surely stands out from the lot is their No.1 UK hit, which is a cover of 80s pop diva Blondie - The Tide Is High, that has got some good mix and melody in it. It is a sad reality that the trio have to once again resort to a cover version to make their mark after their debut album that had the Bangles hit Eternal Flame that soared the charts at No.1. But that aside, theres a lot of substance that Kitten fans can look forward to.
New member Jenny has made a mark very quickly indeed by writing two tracks for this album - the disco driven So Hot and the superb Baby Dont You Hurt Me. The Bangles, probably happy with the turnout of their hit single, have returned the favour by writing the saucy ballad Love Doesnt Have To Hurt ! Talk about collaborations, and we have Aussie diva Kylie Minogue, chipping in by writing the lyrics to the title track Feels So Good. This song, very catchy and infectious with a typical pop diva material and disco edge to it, should be the trios new big hit. Other standouts Id recommend, that deserve a second listen, are Walking On Water, The Moment You Leave Me and No One Loves You (Like I Love You). You could also go for the soft and the very passionate, smooth Whole Again, which is packed with some really good https://lyrics. Theres also Maybe Im Right - a slow and sentimental song that has a message which requests more needing from a relationship, at the same time, being able to understand yourself first.
Even though they are still youngsters, Atomic Kitten have matured a little, but are so experienced with this album, that they have hits in every album they make. Theyre making waves all over the world, and its only a question of time, when they start creating their own original hits. Anyways, full marks to them. Love em or loathe em .... youd be hard pressed not to hum along to these ditties. And one things for sure .... it feels so good !! :)
