Get it treated!

A Rajeev Jhaveri directorial, movie Fever, fails to quench the most-expected thriller thirst. The movie seems mostly convoluted in its own strings and theories. The sight is expected to be focused, but it is lost due to tunnel thinking.

The story is about a man Armin(Rajeev Khandelwal) who wakes up in the hospital after having met an accident. But he has lost all his memory, but remembers his name and he is from Paris, the only clues. Later on his brain flickers some visions of murdered woman, he desperately tries to put two and two together. Kavvya(Gauhar Khan), mysteriously, is stalking him in Switzerland and later on becomes his confidante. Next, another murder happens. Is someone trying to frame Armin? Well this makes the crux of the movie.

The film suffers due to poorly scripted story, it story keeps on going back and forth, aimlessly, making one lose sight of what is exactly happening. Director Jhaveri has shown poor directorial skills, it is tad amateurish and unbelievably…still amateurish. The first half of the movie is confusion and delirious, no one can get hold of the plot, it really unsuccessfully, managed me to jump in my seat, due to boredom. The second half seems like it has ben draaggggeedd, but still can’t left me disappointed and with loopholes to think of, which I couldn’t due to brain freeze.

The elaborated and stylish action scenes, forced explicit scenes and deafening background music should have been able to make up for the sad movie that it is, but on contrary it actually adds to the boredom and complexity.

Rajeev Khandelwal was my only goal to look for, but somehow he has also degenerated in this movie. Not because of his fading talent(which is impossible if you have watched Aamir) but because of the loosely stringed script. he is sincere with the whole me-Sherlock-likes look but the script somehow manages to rip this apart. The writer-director should have used some logic and this would NOT have been silly, at all! Gauhar Khan as Kavvya delivers competently(though the diamond stud on her mole above her lip was really distracting). Bond girl Caterian Murino and Gemma Atkinson were wasted, again due to poor script. They were just shoved at, in the background.

The locales and picturesque of Switzerland is the only stuff of respite. Other than that, nothing else seems to catch your breath or even start being interesting. The movie altogether doesn’t seem to bring the thriller-effect, more so ever looks like an experiment with the script gone wrong.

The movie comes with a tagline, Fever is an expression of inner rage, trust me, I left with that rage.

Dodge this pill of a movie.
