This is regarding cheating from KVR dream vehicles, Kannur.
I booked a Punto emotion pack from KVR dream vehicles on 26th of January 2010 by paying Rs. 5000.
I had a very good relationship with them since I do the servicing of my Indica with them, I never crosschecked anything and trusted their words always.
These all started when one of my friend also booked a Punto from Cochin. He was surprised to see the Ex-showroom price.
They were quoting me 13, 000 more than what they should have quoted!!!
The amount which was showing in the Fiat site was also much less than what they quoted as Ex-showroom price. I spoke to them about this and they said that there is some extra charge blah blah.. And can not sell for the same price as shown in the site. I kept on insisting for that price. When I checked the price at which Concorde motors, Kochi sells, its exactly the website price. I started arguing with KVR for getting the same price shown in the Fiat website. They were not agreeing that atall. Then I thought calling Fiat customer care and they told me the KVR has the right to sell only for the price shown in the FIAT site and they will take necessary action if I can submit proof and also asked me to checkout prices in other nearby dealers.
Since one of my friend works in Marina motors Calicut, I asked him about the price. He said they are also selling for the same price shown in their site and advised me to cancel the order and buy from there or from Kochi. I called KVR and asked them to cancel the order. Then they started blabbering. They said they will call after some time and next day I got call from them telling that they are ready to give the car for the same price as shown in the site!!!
I was very happy to hear that and started waiting for my beauties arrival. From the 10th day I started calling and asking the status. Till booking, they used to call me.But after booking they did not even bother me to update the status!!!
When I called them on the 10th day they said that its on transit and will be reaching there in 4 more days. After 4 days when I called them, they said that the car got unloaded at their Kasargod garage by mistake. How can they be so silly in handling that!. I told them to bring that to Kannur so that I can go and see. Within few days they took the car to Kannur. Next Saturday I went there to check the car. They took me to their garage in a brand new Punto!!! I asked the sales guy why he use a new car which would be delivered to someone else. The answer was very silly! It was not so far from their shop. From distance itself I was able to identify my car since that was the only one with Fox Trot azure color.. I was very happy to see the car. I did a complete checkup. Took few photos also.I also noted the chasis number with my camera. We went back to showroom and I asked them if they can show me the Form 22. They said they dont have that now and will give me on delivery!!!
Anyway I was extremely happy and driven back to my home in my Indica. After reaching home, I posted the VIN number in carwale.com forum to know the make month and year. Within 1 hour I got the reply that its 1 year old car!!!!!! A February 2010 make!!! How can they sell a car which is 1 year old!!!. If they are trying to cheat engineers who bothers about cars too much how can someone with limited idea can buy from them!!! What trust they have!
Monday I called them and asked explanation for the same. They said that, 1 year is OK and if there is any problem they will fix it free!!! For what the hell I need to go for an old car for 7 lakhs!!! I told them to cancel the order. They said impossible!!!
Without minding them, I called-up Concorde motors Cochin and told them my interest to buy from them. They immediately said they would love to arrange a test drive.. I told them I don’t want test drive, I just need to book directly. They send me a sales guy with a test drive vehicle also! They gave me exactly same amount as shown in the Fiat site. I was very happy and paid the booking amount.
I started calling KVR and told about the same and also requested to cancel the order. They started abusing and said that they wont pay the booking amount back. Not even a single paisa! I used to call them at least once in a week and they repeat the same. Now they are not even picking the call..
Please advice me what I need to do now.
