Hello frens, my first review on MS. infact a brief experience on grande punto which I drove couple of days before.
both 1.4 n 1.3 versions(dynamic pack). it looksstunning! the car is worth every penny. class leadin ride nhandlin. even at 100+ speeds, its very sure footed. doesn feel likehatch, infact a sedan;) . swing it in any direction, amazing body control!
petrol doesn have the instantresponse, it must be kept around 4000- 4500 rpm to get the best.Diesel, same as palio mjd, swift, vista feels very responsive undercity conditions, but the momentum is lost once it crosses 120 mark!weight is the culprit in this case. diesels needs pete’s tuning box;)as suspension can take a lot of power n torque. confident braking too.
theengine lacks grunt to support the superlative handling. wud have beengood if it had 1.3 90ps from linea n probably 1.6 petrol.
when driven hard, diesel clatter is heard inside! clutch travel is more n very soft too, doesn offer the anti force!
good interior space, nice driving position, very solid feel like all other fiats! personally, I felt pedal positions were ok.
besthydraulic steering with perfect response, the car encourages cornering, as speed builds up, ride quality too improves, doesn have a very harshlow speed ride too, dynamic pack comes with 195/60 r15 tyres(comparable to skoda octavia) largest in its class.
For the price car is worth, loads of features, superb ride n handling, solid build, looks very sexy too.
couldhave had more power, better insulation at high rpm, and few interiorplastics could be better. those niggling problems are common.
Best hatch country, a drivers car. if given high performance engine n fiat improves its A.S.S. No competition for GP! True VFM.
