I was very much excited when I came to know that the Fiat Linea was launched, since this was a car I was long expecting. So straight away I went to the dealer here in Chennai to have a test drive. I had to wait quite a while, since quite a few people were lined up. They had only one vehicle for the test drive. Atlast the moment came. I was very much impressed with the external look of the car. The vehicle they had for test drive was the top end variant - emotion. The interiors also were quite good, with the in-dash music system, climate control for AC and stuff. But when I came to the actual drive I was a bit disappointed. For starters the steering wheel was a bit too hard for my liking. Also the ride quality was not that good either. I expected excellent ride quality, but I could very well feel the potholes. There is a foot rest available next to the clutch pedal, but the gap available is very less. But the most glaring shortcoming is that it felt very underpowered. Its only 1300 cc and it was not exactly awe inspiring.
