I bought Fiat Linea in May 2012 and drove it more than 40000Km in one year . Really nice to drive on highway but in city specially Bangalore pickup is problem . When it comes to spare and service you will have to pay through your nose. Every 15000 Km apart from oil you have to get Brake shoe changed which cost approx Rs. 3500.00 . Moreover when I went for third free service I informed the Service station to check Break Shoe and if required change it as it was making noise . To my surprise Aadya in Bangalore which is the authorised service station did the servicing and late evening informed that Break shoe is not available. Brake Shoe which is one of the most vital part not available . Moreover it costed Rs.8000.00 for Free service . Next day I got it replaced in Hospet .
Total Cost for third free service was approx Rs. 11500.00 .
In rainy season Brake makes noise . I went to service station they told since Brake shoe gets wet hence this problem arises . Recently I went outstation and felt that Gear is hard went to service station they told that it is Ok . While returning it was so hard that I had to put effort in changing gear after driving 100 Km it was normal . I asked service station they told that mud particles might have entered into the Gear Cable hence it has hardened.
This shows that this vehicle is not fit to drive during rainy season.
If you are planning to buy this car be prepared to pay for service spares and face above mentioned problems.
Moreover none of the service stations are equipped to take care of car’s service needs and they may not even have spares in stock .
