I got my new Linea emotion last week. I dont want to talk about look (interior or exterior) of the car because there is no match. I was researching on the car options for last 2 months and finally decided to go for Linea. It is really value for money.
Yesterday I drove it on highway. I didnt realize it reached 100+ until I checked the speedometer. I was amazed by griping and balance of this car. No other car is offering so many features in its price segment. Every car has its merit and demerits. For Linea, I wish a slight more pickup would have made it queen of the road but hey If you not really a drag racer, this is the best car you can get.
Those who thinks Fiat service is a problem, should know that Fiat and Tata are in good tie up for at least next 15 years and Tata has more service centers than that of Honda, Ford, GM or Skoda. Moreover car needs service after 15000 kms, so you can understand the quality of engine, Fiat has come up with. You can compare the spare parts price and Maruti is the only match in terms of low cost.
Our family owns three other cars from different makers (or so called, good service providers) and I tell you, maintenance of those cars really sucks the blood. The other good thing is Tata has started manufacturing of the Fiat parts, so now availability of parts is also not a issue. So guys please dont do what others have been doing for years. Do your own research and make a clear list of features you really want from a car in your budget. There are not really very good number of options but following is my findings for petrol sedans:
5.5- 6.5 L - Maruti Dezire
6.5 - 7.5 L - Fiat Linea
9 - 10 L - New Honda City.
