WORKMANSHIP of TVS Chennai For Fiat Palio

I would like to share my agony about the WORKMANSHIP of TVS Chennai. I


have been supportive to TVS Chennai and FIAT these days ,


but now I am really fedup with TVS. Let me share my experience,


Incident 1:


One week back while returning from Coimbatore I met with an accident.


A Bolero hit from Rear side on the left side of the car. Bumper, Boot


Door and area above rear wheel got


damaged. But no injury to anybody, thanks to FIAT’s strong build. I


left the car for repair in Chennai TVS. I got the vehicle back after 7


days as promised. They replaced the Boot Door and Bumper and did some


tinkering job to rectify the damage on area above Rear wheel. The


quality of work they did is so pathetic that I would got a better


Quality of Work if I would given it to a Road Side Mechanic. The PAINT


work so LOW Class Quality. Let me categorize one by one,


a. To rectify the damage on area above Rear wheel, they have painted


the area (let me call it as Rear left fender)next to rear seat. That


area was painted even without cleaning it and now it is full of SAND


particle. It looks so UGLY.


b. Basic steps in painting a car is, Painting will be done on a Naked


Shell then all rubber beadings will be fixed painted area. But the SO


CALLED Professionals in TVS has painted with the Beading fixed. As


result when we lift the Beading, Paint also peels away. This was done


in Repalced Boot Door. Since no proper base work was not done, Paint


BUBBLES on the second day itself.


c. All Plastic Strips and Beadings has trace of paint!!!. Any layman


can say that this Car was painted by a non-professional person.


d. After completing the JOB!, the SO CALLED Professionals in TVS


didn’t bother to check whether the Boot Door is getting closed


properly or not. My Small finger can go inside through the gaps around


the CLOSED BOOT Door.


e. FIAT has provided PERFORATION/CORROTION waranty for 2 Years. But


the SO CALLED Professionals in TVS has fitted a FULLY CORRODED Metal


part in the BOOT DOOR which was taken from someother damaged car.


f. Paint work is SO incomplete that the sides of the BOOT DOOR was


left unpainted.


g. The SO CALLED Professionals in TVS hasn’t taken any steps to cover


the RUST formation in the newly fitted BOOT DOOR. Rust formation can


be seen clearly in the welding joints.


Finally the SO CALLED Professionals in TVS totally spoiled the


Originality of My Car. I really surprised to see that DUPONT has


recognised TVS as their Dealer, TVS has placed AD for DUPONT REFINISH.


When These GUYS were unable to follow a basic rule in painting, then


what kind of FINISH they will provide when a POOR CUSTOMER gives his


car to be painted in DUPONT.


This Job was attended by Mr. Shankar Raj.


Incident 2:


A month ago I took my car to rectify a PAINT Work problem under


Waranty. Mr. Ananthakrishnan attended the work. There were some tiny


bubbles kind of defects found on both Front fenders and accepted to


rectify the problem. While accepting the vehicle TVS person said the


whole Fender will be Painted to maintain uniformity. But a part of the


Fender only was painted. And even the paint work was not good. After


painting the SO CALLED Professionals in TVS didn’t get time to POLISH


the newly painted area. We can see the difference clearly in area


around the Fender. But while delivering the vehicle, the report in


which TVS gets Customer’s signature, it was mentioned as if the Fender


area was fully painted. Fiat would have paid them for painting the


full Fender area!!.


Whenever I ask to rectify some small scratches, TVS guys will


immediately reply that whole door needs to be painted. When a customer


has to pay Money for doing this kind of job, they say it has to be


done completely. But if the same thing falls under WARANTY or


INSURANCE, they do the painting job partially only on the affected


place. This kind of partial painting has happened second time for me


in the above incident. Along with Insurance I also got some scratches


on Rightside door painted. During this they painted only the affected


area and not the whole door. But they claim they have painted the


whole door.


Incident 3:


I was planning to fix ROOTS horn in my car. When enquired TVS they


said it will cost 2500/- this includes Material and labour. Since the


rate was high I bought the Horn myself and went toa FIAT’s Authorised


service Centre - SHAKTI FLEET @ Chennai. The electrician there was not


at all a skilled labour. He took 4 hours to fix a simple Horn!!!. He


doesn’t know where to locat what!!. He learned fixing horn in a FIAT


Palio only from Car. Finally he blown one FUSE and I was charged for


that also!!. Finally when I switched on the car, Airbag failure LCD


started glowing. When I report this problem, electrician was blinking


what to do. I shouted at the supervisor in SHAKTI FLEET and took the


car back without rectifying the problem. The problem was solved at


TVS.


Shakti Fleet doesn’t seems to have any Skilled labours with them.


TVS Chennai having such an excellent INFRASTRUCTURE, they can easily


provide best SERVICE to CUSTOMERS. But they think CUSTOMERS are


beggers who will accept whatever they OFFER.


Fiat cars are technically advanced and strong cars. Buying a


Technically advanced and safest car alone doesnot fullfill a


Customer’s dream of owning a Car. That technically sound car has to be


maintained properly. Maintenance involves getting technically sound


Service personals also. FIAT has failed to identify a GOOD, EFFICIENT,


DEDICATED Dealers. TVS is totally Money minded having Unskilled,


Lethargic, Nondedicated professionals. GUYS at TVS talks soooo


politely but actual OUTCOME is ZERO. A FIAT Customer can be happy with


his Fiat Product untill he gets any problem. If he gets some kind of


problem, then his life will be in pathetic condition.


First time I am feeling BAD for selecting FIAT PALIO. Anyway I have


left my car at TVS again to rectify the above problem and hoping for


the best. I will not recommend FIAT to anybody.


Unless and Untill FIAT does some restructuring in After Sales Service,


it can’t maintain / improve its SALES in India.


After seeing this mail FIAT Personels may contact me, but what kind of


responsibility does the TVS Chennai has to attend to a Customer’s


problem in the first attempt. What kind of Sincerity they have on


FIAT’s product after getting paid by FIAT?.


I am really surprised whether Benz and Cheverolet customers will also


have the same fate with TVS?. Because TVS is the dealer for those


Brands in Chennai.
