We Decided!

On our quest to decide if we would buy a new car, we checked on the Fiat Palio Blanco. It is a mid-sized car.

This Fiat was designed by Giogetto Giugiaro, and it is a 5 seat sedan.

.:My Review:.

This car has a sleek look, with a slanted front, bumpers & side skirts that match the colour you pick.

It comes with two controls to open your door. The bi-parabola halogen headlights reduces the air drag. They are in the grill. Both the headlights and the lights at the rear have fog lights.

The Palio comes with a 1.6 litre engine specification that can make it go from 0 to 60 in less than 8 seconds. There is a 5th gear, (that we would never use), if you want to pass every car ahead of you.

I tried to look under the engine, and only saw the engine, because everything else is below that. I was told by the lady sales person that every car is built that way, so you have to have it serviced by a Fiat Dealer. Every little thing in the car is computerised, that the mechanics have to go to school, every time Fiat changes something.

There are 3 brakes, a children lock, (in addition to the automatic locks), that is controlled by the driver. The out side mirrors are automatically controlled by both the driver and the other person in the front seat.

It has air-conditioning, and a heater that includes one on the back window.

The safety bags come out from the front, (this is a feature we didn’t care for), but we could pay extra to have them install them to come out from the sides.

This car has an ashtray, (most don’t in Canada now). You can use it if you have your own lighter, because there is no lighter beside it. There is an insert you can put in it to hold two beverages.

There is a vanity mirror, under both the visors. The lights go on as soon as you pull the visor down.

There is one side pocket, on the drivers side, and two large ones behind the bucket seats. The armrest is large and has storage space below it.

The car has an independent suspension to make you have a smooth ride.

It comes with a dynamic engine, (and it is very quiet while you are driving it.

There are 3 brake lights, power steering, and a cruse control.

The interiors are posh and come in the same colour as the car.

There are two bucket seats in the front, and it can seat 3 adults in the back, quite comfortably.

On the dashboard you have a speedometer, a gas and oil level indicator, a clock, a radio with a CD player in it.

There is a fire prevention system and lateral impact beams. The tool kit and emergency kit are in the trunk/boot.

The wheels are large, and they almost look like wheels you would put on a sports car. There are 5 wheels, (the spare tire is in the trunk/boot).

The windows have tinted glass. There are two large wipers on the front window and one on the back window.

This car has passed all of the emissions standards for both Canada and the United States. We weren’t in the car long enough to know how often you have to fill it up. Today for one litre of gas we pay $1.00 for each litre of gas. The gas tank has a capacity of 48 litres.

This car is available in 10 colours. The colours we like are white, and metallic tangerine, fern, gold and silver.

The Company guarantees the car for 70, 000 miles, or 5 years.

.:We decided:.

One of the reasons we did not buy this car is because it uses too much gas.

We did like this car, but if we bought it, we wouldn’t receive a discount, and would have to pay $12, 000 CAD.

We have decied to keep our old car.

Thanks for reading my review.
