Well, this review may have come too late since model that I have, is not available any more. Anyways, I decided to write review after having few years of experience of ownership of the vehicle.
I bought it because of one main factor which is ignored by many while making decisions of buying cars. It is SAFETY. It is built so strong that if it collides with any other car in India, other car will be be completely trashed for sure. Plus, it has beams on doors that will give protection during collision and front is designed so that it crumbles on impact.
All this is tested too. It gives a decent mileage when driven properly and has ample space. In fact, its strong built, artistic interiors and space gives a feeling of being in home! Thats why I call it my home on road. There is another reason to say that. Its AC is so powerful that even in peak summer, you will not feel the heat of weather. The only con is, pickup. Pickup of 1.2 variants is not that good but thats because of its weight. I do not worry about pickup anyways. I am not there to race with other cars on road. :)
Overall, ownership of this vehicle for three years is very satisfying. Only once it gave trouble on road, otherwise, fantastic. My other car is also going to be from Fiat stable. People who worry about after sales are generally the people who think that car that they are buying is definitely going to give troubles. :) I think, servicing is requried once in six months, so I can take that pain of travelling little far for that. But that is also improving now after Fiat-TATA alliance. It is well known fact that, other manufacturers (Maruti/ suzuki and Tata) are going to use Fiat’s diesel engines for their cars and that proves who has better technology.
Maruti has just launched SX4, if some one looks at Fiat-Sedici, will realize that SX4 is another variant of it. I somewhere read that, SX4 is designed in colloboration with Fiat engineers. For more proof, take a look at Fiat - Sedici and it will be crystal clear. Even the looks are more than 60% same. So why not buy the original :)
