The car is true to its value. I purchased this Stile 1.1 SLX , Carbon Black, in Pune (BU Bhandari) and have driven reasonably.
Space and Selection: This car back seat is a full 14 cm bigger than WagoR and about 12.2 cm bigger than Santro and Zen Estilo does not even come in the picture except for the styling. It beats all the three models hands down when it comes to leg room for drivers, back-seaters and boot space. Moreover, I am told that with the other models, the back seat is not fold-able. If this is true, then Stile is way above the rest when it comes to space. Three mid-sized adults can sit in the back seat without rubbing their shoulders.
Comfort: I did own, Honda Accord (1992), Tyota Camry (1987 limited edition) in the late 80s and 90s when I was in US. I felt the same degree of comfort with this. You do get the feel of driving a full sized car. AC cools the cabin very fast and all other controls are driver oriented, that is curved for better visibility to driver, which may be a minor point. The car is a lot quieter even at 90 kmph, in comparison to several other models (Indica Xeta, Indica, WagonR and Santro) test driven by me.
Machine: I must say that this car not meant for 0 to 100 in 6 seconds like drivers. This car is meant for people who wish to leave a traffic signal with other traffic and drive for a smooth take-off. But After take-off at traffic signals, it just makes me feel so smooth and it is hard to believe that I am driving 60 kmph (I normally dont drive too fast). I drive in the worst mannered PUNE traffic (Yes, Pune traffic does not follow any single rule of Motor Vehicles Act to date!). I have driven this car in Pune-Mum Exp way and at about 2100 rpm, I am hitting 85-90 kmph. What else one expects? if somebody wants better than this then they should go for the 1.6 lit Sport version. Always started with the first attempt.
Economy: I have driven plenty to tell you that with 100%AC, Pune traffic (just about 30 kmph speed), I could observe 13.5 kmpl. With about 40% AC it is touching 15 kmpl. On highway, it goes upto 18 with 60%AC (Once the cabin is cool, switchoff AC and restart the same cycle). Gear shifing is as smooth as my old Honda-Accord (1992, 2.2 lit manual transmission). Just Move the lever, you are at desired gear.
Do I recommend to others: On two conditions: 1. If you are not race style driver but looking for space and economy, then you must give a serious thought to this. 2. several people had issues with dealer network and repair problems. if these are made sure, then, nothing should pull you back to purchase of this car.
