Everyone seems to be saying that this movie is straight from the heart ! ’ Filhaal ’ meghna gulzar’s debut does deal with reality but with a weak script !
Characters - Rewa( tabu ) Sia (sushmita sen )Dhruv (sanjay suri )Sahil ( palash sen )
Summary - Rewa and Sia are best pals who’ve grown up being each others strength ! Being absolute opposites Rewa is traditional minded who wants to settle down and have a family whereas Sia is career minded & wants to make it big in the field of photography !
Rewa falls in love with dhruv and gets married whilst Sahil is obsessed with the ring which confesses his undying love for Sia all the time who keeps refusing ! Yes dear readers life is a turmoil ;0) !
Continue - Rewa seems to be in some hurry for a kid and gets pregnant but has a miscarriage and cannot become a mother again ! Rewa is shattered and is traumatised about the fact of being childless ! Sia becomes a saving grace and offers to be a surrogate mother ! yes dear readers so much for a friend !
Sia without consenting her parents or her ring boyfriend makes a sole decision and bears the child ! Ring boyfriend is upset and doesnt speak to Sia who starts feeling lonely ! Dhruv tries to befriend Sia thus caring for her a bit too much ! Rewa on the other hand is getting insecured about loosing her husband , loosing the kid and all the attention being given to Sia ! Misunderstandings at every point of time thus making life more miserable for both of them !
Ending - A nice healthy kid is born ! friends unite ! ring boyfriend is finally accepted !
Filhaal is definitely a series of feelings - happiness , sadness , joy , jealousy , anger and not to forget boredom because of the useless and unmatched songs in the movie !
Sushmita sen and tabu apart from looking nice have done justice to their roles ! Sanjay suri is pretty impressive and comes as a natural actor ! Palash is a misfit and comes across in a world he doesnt belong ! absolutely dumb !
Very true that in India such decisons are not favoured due to the traditions and thats where filhaal makes a mark !
overall - Could’ve been much better ! Not a must see !
