Dory, I love you...

How I wish my favorite friends in Finding Nemo were humans and a part of my life!

Marlin, Dory, Nemo & Gill - you pals have a special place in my heart...

Finding Nemo is an animation movie (a first rate one at that).

Young Nemo is captured by a human while in ’school’ from the ocean and is put in an aquarium in a dentist’s office (near Sydney harbour).

His father Marlin (who lost his wife Carol in an accident when a hungry big fish was chasing them) sets out in search of his son.

On the way, he meets Dory (I fell for your voice, like somebody hugging me!), a cute, multi-lingual female fish (whose short-term memory is weak which proves hilarious during the quest & whose language skills save them on many occassions) and they remain together for the rest of the journey.

Meanwhile, Nemo makes friends with the rest of the fishes & species in the aquarium, his best friend being Gill, an ’escape veteran’ who becomes Nemo’s philosopher & guide during his dark hours in the ’jail’.

In Nemo, Gill sees a renewed chance of all of them escaping again, this time sure that it’ll be a success......

I don’t want to reveal too much more of the plot as it may spoil your fun in watching Nemo.

The special effects are breathtaking (Pixar has done a commendable job. Watch the movie from the very first minute, the name Pixar is shown in a very comical way).

And the characters endear to you long after the movie is over.

It’s beautiful, lots of fun & as I said, very endearing.

Some of the scenes are edge-of-the-seat action.

And listen to the dialogues with attention, you can learn some life lessons here.No kidding.

Because this movie subtly conveys us about the selfless love of a father for his son, about trust, friendship, faith a son needs to show in a parent’s advice & concern for his safety, faith a parent needs to show in a son’s belief in his own abilities & to let go when the time’s right...

Also, remember to watch this movie till the very end, after the credits finish rolling. A funny, unexpected surprise awaits you.

Talking of my wishes...

I wish for a son like Nemo, to be a father like Marlin, to have a wife like Dory (without the amnesia please) and for a friend like Gill.

And that can give my life the fairy-tale touch

........

........

I think I am losing myself....Help! somebody find me!!
