It has been quite some time since I watched this movie, but I can definitely still relate to the feeling that I had back then!
First the plot in brief...
Johnny Depp is a writer/playwright, and has not been able to come up with a single successful play. Then he meets Kate Winslet and her 3 children, and he loves them a lot! The kids inspire him to write about Peter Pan, and the play is a big hit. The play is about Depp, who just doesn’t want to grow up.
Finding Neverland is truly an enchanting story, and leads you to a fantasy world that Depp has created for himself. It was a very sweet and a touching movie, and the youngest kid was definitely very cute. I like Depp a lot, because he does a variety of roles, and never fails to fulfill my expectations. I can’t wait for his movie ’Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’!
I think some people who like action movies a lot more and do not have patience for fantasy movies will not enjoy this as much. It may seem like a chick flick.
But I would definitely recommend it as a stroll in fantasy land.
