I have purchased a FireFox Cycle DIABLOW 20 ORG/BLK for my kid from Orion Yamaha Motors, Bangalore in Aug 2013.
With in a month its seat color faded. I reported the issue to vendor and to FireFox immediately by mail. I got a response stating that seat color is faded due to exposure to sun light, hence they can not help.
I was surprised to hear this response **as anybody would do cycling out doors**, not inside the house. I was upset with their reply and approached personally to see what they can do for me. They told me to manage with same and come back when seat is fully damaged.
Apart from that the cycles brakes have gone bad with in 6 months. It’s handle was vibrating. I took the cycle again to them thinking that they will repair at least without mentioning any reason. Now they mentioned that cycle was not properly used as it was a kids cycle, To repair that they will charge and parts cost is extra. Again surprise to hear this response, as it is a kids cycle and they sold it telling that life is longer. With in a year tyres and chain damaged. Wheel Rims were rusted.
I felt very annoyed by the quality of products these big brands make. These companies spend lot of money on advertising and fooling people. Instead they should spend money on good quality product and customer support.
In our childhood we used brands like Hero, BSA, Hercules. They were very rugged. Mainly they are good for using in sun light. Not like FireFox to use them indoor. My honest suggestion is don’t buy brands. Buy good products, even though they will not appear in media or TV regularly.
