Back to school days. Ard 10 years back, we were gang of five, doing most of the not so good things in class, the unofficial ‘Ganda Bandas’ of school. However, the modus operands was so impressive, that we still managed a good reputation in front of teacher and girls ….
‘Bhai, I think there is some severe problem. He looks like a ‘garbarh mamala’, ‘Gazab’ said to me.
‘Yes. He is giving a bad name to our class. Girls don’t even look at us, in the way they should’ yet another concern from ‘Cheeta’.
‘Kuch karo yaar, humaree ‘asmat’ khatare me hai…’( Do s’thing abt him, our reputation is at stake), was words of ‘Khookhar’.
‘hmmm, how abt fixing a date with Lesbo Baba?’
So, it was done. The ‘gande bande’ had a mission in their hand. We were suppose to make an effort to end all manipulations, and get things back to normal…
Gay n l*sbian were quite new words for us then. The first time we heard it, most of us thought it was a joke, bur soon we realized that world is full of versatility, west has not left much scope for experiment in any field. We were quite anxious to know the details and so, a slightest inclination made us conclude the extremist opinion abt one’s sexuality.
This boy, don really remember his name, but we called him ‘Chandu’, ( thou his name was quite good, cant remember), was so comfortable with girls that we often doubted his libido. Then there was this girl, she was actually a very beautiful lady, very Indian looks, one of the best figures I ve ever seen in my life. Somehow, her nature was very much under scrutiny; the way she behaved was quite abnormal. We called her ‘Lesbo Baba’(LB)
It was a kind of ‘parampara’ of the class – giving name to ppl. Those names were much more appealing as they were character oriented and fitted to the ‘subject matter’. So there were five of us – Cheeta, Khookhar, Gazab, Fundo and me.
So the committee decided to do all the research. We were eyeing their behavior for quite some time, and we observed some interesting chemistry between them. That guy was only uncomfortable while talking to that girl, and this girl, who use to bombard guys which lot of tough words(in fact she was so much of terror that we couldn’t imagine her as neones GF, so was her named coined LB) has never been seen going harsh on him. I somehow had a feeling, that once they meet alone, something sure’s gona happen.
Why were we so desperate? Well, we had our own problems. Chandu was really giving a tough time to us. His way of talking, his ‘adas’, were really a matter of grave concern. The news was quickly spreading that he is a ‘garbarh mamala’ . Now being a new member of our class, he was a liability we have to bore unpleasantly. Within 2 months of his entry, we already had couple of ‘tu tu main main’ and some petty flights from schoolmates of other classes, as they used to call us GMKCV(garbarh mamale ke class vale). We soon realized that we need to sort this out, so we had a deal. We told them, ok, this is the time and this is the place, we have arranged their date, u can check it and confirm.
I told one girl, (who was a good friend of both Chandu and Lesbo) to tell Chandu that Lesbo wanna met him in the Park, tomorrow eve and vice versa. I had this strong feeling that they really wanted to c each other. Plus, we had no other choice, so, we got to take a chance anyways.
‘Is that gona work Fundo, wat say ‘ Cheeta ‘s concern.
‘Abbe, pata nahi, Freud says its sex se sex all the way….’ Fundo.
‘Lets hope for the best, at least a kiss yaar…’ Cheeta.
‘Abbe chu……, ‘pappi’ aise hee le lete hai kya, majaak hai kya? ’ Khokhaar.
They all looked at me.
‘Well, I think it gona work. Lesbo is a desperate lady, she should do s’thing….’
‘Nahi aaye to?…’
‘Abbe aaiengae aaiengae….’ We convinced ourselves.
So there were four of us, me, Fundo, and two other ‘chasmadeed gawaaah’(witnesses for the event) of the other class. It was finalized that they gona c the two date, and if they r convinced, Chandu is Vindicated.(We were not expecting anything more than a guy n gal debut meet).
7.30 eve was the time. We reached at 7.20. it was looking full moon day. As we entered the park with alertness, we found they were already there. The lady was dressed so consciously, and was looking so beautiful(unlike other days when she hardly used any make up in class) that I envied that man. Chandu however, was looking as usual(dressing wise), much more comfortable thou…
We had binoculars with us(we were all prepared). It was good enough for moonlight. The park was a big one, and there were more than 100 ppl, mostly couples or friend groups like us. So we were not getting any special attention. As they were walking, we kept following them from a decent distance with binoculars quickly exchanging hands. I was really mesmerized to c that gal – she was looking so feminine, she looks great always, but that something was missing from her attitude, and that night, she was all woman, Indian feminity at its best. She was smiling, her body language suddenly looked transformed - the way she was walking, talking and smiling, everything was so so different, that we all were pleasantly surprised. I was a much more jealous thou….
It was 9.30 and they were not tired f talking, but we were tired of following them. The ‘gawahs’ too were not anxious to c the ‘pappis’ n stuff, they looked convinced. But we told them, ‘ look if u ant to check, u can wait longer, but if u leave then let us assure that u will vindicate that chap. U can c, its working…’. They agreed and we left. I was relived that ‘nothing like that’ has happened, at least not in front my damn eyes…
Next day was vooo. Human psychology is tough thing to get. There were rumors all the way, and wat rumors, they kissed, the number varied from 1 to 100!, some more creative brain were talking abt poses(!). We all were like What the hell, nothing happened, but then, as I said ppl are like that only….
We were still happy that after that, no one bothered abt that chap. In fact he became a kind of role model for guys, and more surprisingly, Aashita(That girl), was a very different lady from that day onward. That feminity that I saw that night, then became a permanent feature of her charecter, and I still think abt her often….
