There are multiple factors why we depend on courier service compared to postal services. A few of them are door to door pickup, personalized service, an efficient tracking mechanism, a reliable delivery, timely servicing of the frieght request and an impeccable customer service.
When it comes to Firstflight, it is just the name which attracts us to them and we think that they are trying to be fore-runners in logistics business. Nothing else. A few of the drawbacks I observed are as below:
1) Unreliable Service: I had one parcel coming form Snapdeal Gurgaon to Mumbai five days ago. Two days back it had reached Mumbai but the tracking has been hovering as Pending on the statusInternal Misroute. They have not made any initiative to reach me on my contact number on the mailing label as well.
I had another delivery from FirstFlight where the tracking was not updated and delivery was done at a neighbor just like that without informing the party-in-question..
2) The website does not have a customer care number mentioned. We need to call the appropriate city helpline that asks us to enter extension number or wait for the operator. But the operator never addresses the call and the phone keeps ringing.
3) Emails to appropriate teams regarding the status query remains unanswered.
I am not sure if we have an appropriate law enforcement team to check on the excesses of such fake logistics service providers.
