We shipped the package thru courier given the urgency. Even the cost was extremely high, we did not have any other option. When it came to NY, we found out that we would not receive on time. So I called up the agent and asked him to put a hold if it arrives a day later. He said he would call me once it comes to Austin and confirm it to put an exception on it. So having waited for his call thru out the day, I gave up the hope and went ahead with an alternate plan only to find out the next day that the package would arrive a day later and he had still put an exception on it.
When I called First flight, they are asking us to pay a fee of $12 which UPS charges them for re-delivery or I pick up travelling 30 miles location to pick up the package. First the person did not call to confirm that it is ok to put an exception and he assumed everything. Second after paying and not receiving package on time, we would have to pay an extra money to get it delivered which is nasty. Do not use this package and use something international courier which could just add few hundred rupees and not a whole lot.
