Horrible experience - never again!

We bought books from firstandsecond.com a month ago as a gift for family about a month ago. I really wish I had read the reviews before I made the purchase!  We were impressed with their inventory and this seemed like a more practical option than shipping books from the US. Well, sure enough, they charged our credit card immediately and sent an email confirming the order and shipping.


The books were not delivered for a very long time. The tracking number they provided us was for the wrong courier (UPS)...and when I tried all the other shippers they use, I finally located the package - it was still sitting in Delhi after almost 3 weeks!!! I tried the live chat operator...never around even during business hours!!! Next, I tried using the customer service form on their website...guess what - the emails bounced!


Finally I made a call to their office...the lady in customer service (if they even have such a dept.) said she would get back to me asap. Nothing for the next 5 days. I called back, spoke to another person and heard pretty much the same thing...we will look into it, yada, yada, yada! I finally threatened to dispute the charges and contact my credit card company. This rep. too assured me he would email us the very same day. No email...but they finally delivered the books!


Yuck...never again!!!
