This is to make all my friend aware of the stupid policies of FirstCry.com
Recently, there was a promotional offer at FirstCry in which they were offering a 75% cashback. Unfortunately, I got trapped.
I made a purchase of Rs 1143 and received a cash back of Rs 750. So far so good.
Now when I tried to use this cashback, it didn’t allow me to use the ongoing discounts. Which means I ended up paying Rs 100 for an item which I could have got in Rs 50.
Second and the most stupid business logic they have used is that at the time of payment, the amount payable can’t be less than 149, which means that I ended up paying additional Rs 221 for using the cash back coupon of Rs 750.
The pain doesn’t end here.
One of the items which I ordered was not as per expectations and I had to fight with them to return it.They did returned it finally and gave me a discount coupon of Rs 447. Now when I am trying to use this coupon and make a purchase of Rs 500, I am again struck with the same stupid condition i.e. min purchase of Rs 149.
o, I again end up spending Rs 100 extra to make a purchase of Rs 447.
Another stupid turn in the story.I submitted an order by spending additional Rs 100. One of the items in the order was available in the stock. First they returned only Rs 32(Cost of item - Discount coupon) only to my FirstCry wallet.After talking to customer care, they agreed to return Rs 447 discount coupon.BUT, the same stupid condition of Rs 149 will again apply. Which means that I will have to spend another additional Rs 149 to make a purchase of Rs 447.This is the worst shopping experience I have had in my entire online shopping experience.
All the discount benefit which I had received as part of cash back is now vanished. Now, what in this world was the mgmt thinking when they applied this logic of Rs 149 even on the items returned. If this is strategic then it is a highly unethical practice of cheating the customer.
If this is a mistake then they should immediately address this.
